  • Schedule and coordinate counseling appointments for providers
  • Checking insurance eligibility to include referral requirements and authorizations
  • Check financial eligibility for HCA, Beacon and other funding monthly
  • Check in clients and update status in myAvatar
  • Prepare admission and counseling documents/forms for providers
  • Collect payments from clients
  • Preparing new patient files, including new chart/folder and labels
  • Record and post all charges, including cash. Apply to clients’ account/invoice
  • Request legal documentation
  • Answer phone calls and give reminder calls to clients
  • Maintain business office inventory and equipment
  • Assist the counselors and admin staff as needed
  • Improve employee and client retention rates through active communication and problem-solving efforts
  • Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data
