Community Education and Outreach

  • ACTS engages in broad range of outreach activities and community education sessions throughout North and South Sound. The education focuses on recognizing and prevention of mental health and substance use issues and how to better cope with difficulties in our lives.
  • Community education can help to reduce stigma surrounding mental health substance use conditions and promote a positive environment. Training sessions can be formal classes regarding constructive mental health and wellness promotion or informal conversations between community members.
  • Mental health conditions and substance use disorders are impacted by a variety of factors. Prevention measures in community settings can help to support individuals at risk of or living with mental health and substance use disorder conditions. Community members should be educated about the importance of treatment and prevention.

If you would like to learn more about community education, please contact us.

NAADAC Approved Education Program
