Life Script

Eric Berne, the founder of transactional analysis, passed away at the age of 60 due to coronary artery disease. It was the same age at which his mother also passed away due to coronary artery disease.

According to Claude Steiner (1974), Eric Berne created a life script for himself, believing he would die early due to heart disease, and indeed, he was influenced by that script. At the same time, he had a strong enthusiasm for research and writing, and he completed two books he intended to write before passing away from heart disease according to his own script.

----------From Yoo Jaesung's [Collection of Good Writing]--------

While it may not be entirely applicable to every situation, there is some validity to the study of Eric Berne's life script. If we continuously maintain convictions about our own lives, we can be greatly influenced by those convictions (scripts). Therefore, this weekend, it would be good to examine the life scripts we have formed since childhood.

What thoughts, feelings, or convictions have we held about ourselves? Have we been living under the influence of irrational and unfounded inner messages? What do we think our lives will be like? May you become a true LifeWayer who shares happiness with yourself, your family, and those around you.

How was your past week?

I bless you to have meaningful encounters with loved ones,

and to welcome a happy weekend filled with rest and relaxation... BCB Daniel^
