About Savita Srivastava
MBA, MA, LMHCA
My therapeutic philosophy centers on the idea that each person has the inner strength to face challenges in life and is set out on a path of self-healing and personal development. I employ a comprehensive integrative approach, pulling from various cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. For those recovering from trauma, I use EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Throughout my long career span I have had the opportunity to interact with people from different cultures and I acknowledge and respect the importance of my client’s ethnicity, language, and all systems they are part of. In my opinion, therapy is a collaborative process in which patients take an active role in their own recovery.
